Pivot Mach 5.5

The Pivot Mach 5.5 evolved from the ever popular 5.7. It got a heap of modernisation along the way to bring it up to date. It’s a true trail weapon! The 140mm of DW suspension out the back keeps its nimble, and allows it to dig in and find grip where your wouldn’t expect. Then with compatibility for a 160mm fork out front, it shows the mach 5.5 is not a bike to shy away from gnarly descents. This makes it a fantastic all rounder and its always sure to put a smile on your face no matter what the trail throws at you.

The Mach 5.5 showcases the weight of an XC bike, but the stiffness and capability of an enduro bike. With the frame weighing in around 1lb less than its competition it’s easy to see how sub 27lb builds are achievable. None have this is at the cost of downhill performance though, it’s down to a highly optimised carbon layup and a superior internal moulding process. It’s so capable they even built in clearance for the new super aggressive 2.6 wide trail tyres.

The Mach 5.5 is the new rig in Pivots lineup, but don’t underestimate it. We are loving ours here at Dirt Works.
